Grounded and intensely weathered, their tough skin is often dusted with dirt, sweat, or sap, and their pointed ears feature nicked or notched edges from lifetimes spent navigating thick brush. Deeply tied to the soil, timber, and rivers of their homelands, they are fierce stewards of the terrain, proud of their roots, and famously distrustful of anyone born outside their immediate territory. Legend states they originated from pure drops of light from Eldari falling to the earth, from which they emerged. Deeply connected to Prismatia’s nature, they venerate its plants and animals. While some elves have established sophisticated, gleaming cities powered by clean energy, many maintain a tribal lifestyle, commonly residing in or near forests, in towns, and elaborate treetop villages. Their considerable age and wisdom make them exceptional counselors. However, elves tend to be reclusive and distant, prioritizing their own above others.
Culturally, Eldas operate on a foundation of intense hospitality for their own kin paired with sharp, squinted eye skepticism toward strangers. They speak in slow, drawn-out cadences, carrying a deceptive warmth that can shift into bristling hostility the moment an outsider crosses an uninvited line. Eldas value self-sufficiency, hard labor, and tight knit family clans above all else. They possess a deep reverence for the land, treating nature not as a pristine museum piece, but as a living provider to be worked, hunted, and defended with ruthless devotion.
