Descendants of the Ocean God N’iorsai, the Merpeople emerged from the ancient Prismatia seas as a powerful and formidable kindred. Millennia of history record their eventual ascent to land, bringing with them vast knowledge, significant military strength, and the sea’s abundant resources.
While favoring diplomatic solutions, the ever-expanding Merpeople are consistently prepared for conflict, possessing extensive and notoriously brutal armies renowned for their expertise.
Their amphibious nature grants them a unique advantage, allowing effortless movement on land and in the water. Distinguishable by their often tall, lean, and agile builds, Merpeople may exhibit webbed feet (facilitating rapid aquatic movement with legs), patches of scales, gills, or fins, and skin tones commonly of green, blue, or red. A striking adaptation allows them to transform their legs into powerful tails after a day spent in water, reverting back to legs within an hour upon land. Furthermore, they possess the constant ability to breathe underwater. Head adornments vary, ranging from traditional hair and locks to fins, or a combination of both.
