The Uncrowned King; Pillar-God of the Sky, Winds, Storms, and the Sovereign Air
As one of the foundational Pillars of Magic in Prismatia, Daghlah holds domain over the very air every mortal breathes—a fact he never, ever lets anyone forget. Every draft of wind, rolling stormfront, and crack of thunder flows directly from his power. Because sailors, farmers, and city-dwellers alike must pray to him to avoid devastating blizzards or scorching droughts, he boasts one of the largest and most devoted followings in the world.
Unsurprisingly, this immense popularity has gone straight to his head. He openly struts through the divine realm styling himself as the King of the Gods, complete with a blinding crown of condensed lightning and a majestic spear that splits the sky. Naturally, the rest of the pantheon finds him utterly insufferable. His sheer arrogance and constant need to be the center of attention make him a total jerk to deal with, frequently sparking divine petty feuds—which usually manifest down on Prismatia as sudden, unseasonal thunderstorms when he throws a tantrum.
He appears as a tall, impossibly handsome figure with dark skin and locks that wildly whips like gales, shifting from cloud-white to pitch-black depending on his mood. He wears armor forged from gold and silver, leaving his chest bare, and carries Fylmenorus, a massive spear of solid, crackling lightning that never stops humming.
A sudden, deafening clap of thunder on a completely clear day (usually when someone insults him); a sharp, cold wind blowing in from the wrong direction; or a shadow in the clouds shaped suspiciously like a giant face looking down at you are all signs of his attention and presence.
“You don’t need to look for him—he will make sure you hear him. He is the tempest in the clouds, the roar of the gale, and the divine pride that stretches from horizon to horizon. He holds a Pillar of Magic in one hand and a lightning bolt in the other, and he genuinely believes the universe spins purely for his amusement. Pray to him for fair skies if you must… just be sure to throw in a few compliments while you’re at it.”
