Va’lufeh

The Joyous Host and Lord of Euphoria

“Drink deep of the glass, laugh until the stars dance, but know when to lay the cup down—for joy shared is a blessing, but excess is a theft.”

Va’lufeh is the warm, beating heart of every feast, gathering, and late-night celebration across Prismatia. He manifests as a handsome, mature figure with a rich, hearty laugh, kind eyes that crinkle with genuine warmth, and a beard framed by a crown of wild ivy and grapevines. He radiates a comforting, fatherly charm that instantly puts strangers at ease, making even the lowliest traveler feel like an honored guest at a royal banquet. In his hand, he carries his most prized divine relic: a heavy, jewel-encrusted chalice brimming with a shimmering, magical wine that never runs dry, no matter how much is poured or shared.

While Va’lufeh is the patron of happy gatherings, his domain also touches the wild, mind-expanding realms of mania and euphoria. Legend tells of a night long ago when Va’lufeh was wandering through an ancient forest under the euphoric spell of his own enchanted vintage. Stumbling in his merry stride, a single, glowing drop of wine spilled from his chalice and soaked into the pristine soil below. From that solitary, divine drop sprang the first Lufeh flower—a striking, radiant bloom whose petals hold powerful psychotropic properties. Today, the flower is revered and handled with great care across Prismatia, used in sacred vision quests, ritualistic euphoria, and elevated festivities.

Despite his love for parties, fine ales, and endless libations, Va’lufeh is far from a careless enabler. As a fatherly deity, he champions true hospitality, fellowship, and the genuine happiness that comes from stepping away from life’s heavy burdens to celebrate with others. However, there is a strict boundary to his benevolence: to over-indulge is a grave insult to Va’lufeh. He views gluttony, sloppy drunkenness, and destructive addiction as a perversion of his gifts. To Va’lufeh, wine and celebration are meant to uplift the soul and forge bonds between people, not to ruin lives, cloud honor, or breed misery.

Va’lufeh is warmly worshiped by innkeepers, vintners, brewers, hosts, bards, and travelers seeking shelter and good company. His places of worship are rarely silent stone temples; instead, his holy sites are thriving taverns, bustling communal halls, and sunlit vineyards. His clergy—composed of master brewers, warm-hearted hosts, and elder bards—pray by opening their doors to those in need, brewing exceptional spirits, and keeping peace during boisterous festivals. Before a feast begins, a host will pour out the first splash of wine onto the ground or the hearth, asking Va’lufeh to bless the evening with laughter, safety, and good fellowship.
